• * The entrance fee applies to persons who are neither locals nor have a residence permit (Residenz).
• # From the park entrance to the end of the park (Rio Tempisque) it is about 12km. The further in you go, the rougher the gravel road becomes.

My three highlights in this park are:
1) A lagoon accessible by means of a wooden walkway.
2) Go up the trail La Cantera. From up there you have a wonderful view over the whole plain. Among other things, one looks down to the lagoon. You can also see the river Tempisque as far as the bridge "La Amistad".
3) As already indicated, at the end of the park (about 12 kilometres/7.5 miles from the entrance) is the river Tempisque. There you can take a boat trip.
